What Book-a-Team reads
The times at which each interviewer is busy, looked up by email address. Two things follow from that. The email address of an employee in Book-a-Team must be the address of their Zoho account. And the account you connect must be allowed to see when your colleagues are free or busy.
The app asks for these times whenever a candidate opens a booking page, and does not keep them. It also reads the list of calendars of the connected account, to find its default calendar.
What Book-a-Team writes
One event per booking, in the default calendar of the connected account. Its title is “Interview” and the name of the candidate. The interviewers and the candidate are invited, and Zoho sends the invitations.
The event asks Zoho for a Zoho Meeting, whose link becomes the video link of the booking. If Zoho returns no meeting link, the booking keeps a link to a room at Jitsi Meet.
When the candidate cancels, the app deletes the event. It touches no event it has not created itself.
What you allow when you connect

The permission for events is wider than what the app does with it. It would also allow reading and changing other events of that calendar. The app does not do that.
Which Zoho accounts work
Accounts in the data centres of Zoho in the United States (zoho.com) and in the EU (zoho.eu). Accounts from other Zoho regions cannot be connected at present. Each company connects its own account, and no company reaches the calendar of another.
Google Calendar and Outlook are not supported.
When Zoho cannot be reached
Then the booking page shows no times at all. Nobody is booked into a time that the app could not check. If creating or deleting the event fails, the booking or the cancellation still counts, and the emails are sent as usual.
Without a calendar
Book-a-Team works without one too. Interviewers then count as busy only during interviews booked here, no calendar entries are made, and the video link is a room at Jitsi Meet.
Disconnecting
Disconnect, under Settings, removes the access from Book-a-Team and asks Zoho to revoke it. Events of earlier bookings stay in your calendar. You can check under Connected apps in your Zoho account and also remove the app there yourself.
