Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-09
1. Scope and provider
These terms apply to the use of Book-a-Team on this website. The provider is Dr. Raphael Bauer, Friedrich Klausing Str. 8a | 14469 Potsdam ("we"). Contact details are in the imprint.
The service is free of charge.
2. Who can use the service
Companies, other organisations and private persons of full age can create a space.
Candidates who book an interview through a booking link do not make a contract with us. They use the booking page of the company that gave them the link.
3. How the contract comes about
After you have signed in, a page offers to create a space. The contract comes about when you tick the box to accept these terms and the data processing agreement and then click one of the buttons that create the space.
Until you click, nothing is saved, and you can change your choice or leave the page.
We do not keep a copy of the contract text for each customer. The current text is on this page, and you can save or print it with your browser. With your space we store which version you accepted and when.
The contract can be made in German or English.
4. What the service does
With Book-a-Team you enter your employees and their skills, set up booking pages with rules about who is needed for an interview, and give candidates a link for booking a time. The service works out free times from the bookings made here and, if you connect a calendar, from the calendars of your employees. It sends emails about bookings and can make calendar entries.
If you create a space for a whole email domain, everybody who signs in with an address of that domain can ask to join it. They get full access once a member of the space has approved them. Every member can approve and remove others.
5. Your duties
- You use the service only for lawful purposes and only enter data of employees and candidates that you are allowed to process.
- You are responsible for the data of your candidates and employees. Telling them what happens with their data is your task. You can enter the address of your privacy policy in the settings, and candidates then get a link to it on the booking form.
- You do not put sensitive data, such as data about health, religion or origin, into the names of booking pages or tags.
- You do not use the service to send unwanted messages, and you do nothing that harms its operation or its other users.
6. Data protection
Where you process personal data of other people with the service, the data processing agreement applies. It is part of this contract. If we change the list of sub-processors in it, we tell the users of your space by email.
If you use the service for purely personal purposes, the General Data Protection Regulation may not apply to you. The data processing agreement then has no effect.
What we do with your own data is in the privacy policy.
7. Availability and changes of the service
We provide the service as it is. We do not promise that it is available at all times or without errors. Connections to calendars depend on other providers and can stop working.
We may change the service or stop offering it.
8. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and where we have given a guarantee.
For slight negligence we are liable only if we break a duty that is essential for the contract and on which you may rely. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is typical for this kind of contract and could be foreseen.
Beyond that we are not liable. The same holds for the personal liability of people who work for us.
9. Term and end of the contract
The contract runs for an indefinite time. You can end it at any time by writing to us. We then delete your space with everything in it.
We can end the contract with 30 days' notice. The right to end it at once for an important reason, for example misuse of the service, remains.
10. Changes of these terms
If we want to change these terms, we tell the users of your space by email at least 30 days before. The new terms apply only if you accept them. If you do not, we may end the contract at the time the change takes effect.
11. Final provisions
German law applies. If you are a consumer, the consumer protection rules of the country you live in remain in force where they cannot be set aside by contract.
If you are a merchant, the courts at our seat are competent.
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
If a part of these terms is not valid, the rest remains valid.
The German version of these terms and of the data processing agreement is the binding one. The English version is a translation.
